Gatherings & Meetings

Gardening/Environmental SIG
The SIG will be presenting a half-day workshop at the May 2000 ASI meetings in Albuquerque on the topic of indexing scientific and common names of plants and animals.

At the Albuquerque ASI meeting the G/ES SIG will have a meeting at 5:30 PM Saturday afternoon (May 13), after the G/ES SIG field trip to the Rio Grande Botanic Garden. Those interested in doing so may go to dinner as well. Check the SIG Bulletin Board at the conference for details.

Music Lovers
If you're planning to attend the ASI conference in Albuquerque this May and want to make music with your colleagues, please let us know by e-mail so we can plan to get together. Please mention in your e-mail if you sing or play an instrument (and which one). Also, please tell us which days you arrive and depart so we can figure out the best time to meet. Willa MacAllen, macallen@MINDSPRING.COM, is organizing the instrumentalists; Karen Lane, klane@klane.com, is organizing the singers.
