The following is an update to the "Thesaurus Workshop" June 1.

This distinguished panel will include Vocabulary Management software vendors and users, who will demonstrate and explain by comparison and analysis.

PRESENTERS:
Hector Echeverria "Local and Web-based Thesaurus Management Using MultiTes" along with Denise A. D. Bedford, Ph.D. "World Bank Group Thesaurus - Service & Support Models." Established in 1985, MultiTes developed the first computer program for Thesaurus Maintenance on PC's. Today, more than 15 years later, they are proud to have their software installed in small and large organizations in more than 25 countries.

Greg Zick will present "CONTENT Software for Digital Asset Management." CONTENT is used to build and management multimedia collections on the Web and link media files with finding aids. Features include authenticated vocabulary to improve consistency and quality of metadata entry.

David Smith, Star/Thesaurus by Cuadra Associates CA's flagship product STAR is an award-winning multi-user, multi-purpose, customizable client-server software package with the power and flexibility to manage information collections of all types. Typical STAR applications include management of special libraries, technical information centers, museums, archives, central files and records centers and competitive intelligence units.
