A Chance for ASI Conference Attendees to Sniff Out Something Rotten!

The 5th Avenue Theater, Seattle (a block from ASI's conference hotel), is one of the leading musical theaters in the country, and a regular venue for many Broadway-bound shows. Shampoo, Aladdin, and Catch Me If You Can all appeared here before they hit it big on the Great White Way. On Thursday, April 30, 2015, at 8 p.m., ASI members will have a chance to see the theater's latest original production, Something Rotten!

We're in Renaissance England, and brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play - but they're up against stiff competition. Will Shakespeare, the critics' darling, can do no wrong. So they seek out Nostradamus (not the Nostradamus, you understand, but his cut-rate nephew, Thomas), who gives them an idea from the future - a play with songs! And the first-ever musical is born - but not without mayhem, madness, and musical mishaps.

ASI member and local resident Carolyn Weaver has seen the show in previews and recommends it as "hilarious."

ASI has a chance to buy a block of tickets in advance, but we need a commitment from potential attendees, and a rough idea of the number of tickets we should purchase; so we need a $20.00 downpayment from anyone who would like to go. The precise price of the tickets and the discount we negotiate for them depends on a number of factors, but we can promise that the balance will be no more than $39.95. If we receive too few commitments to meet the minimum group size and are unable to purchase group tickets, your $20 deposit will be credited toward your conference registration fees.

Put $20 down--no later than November 7--just press the button below and follow the commands, and we'll hold a ticket for you. You can pay the balance when you register for the conference!
