Statement from ASI Officers Regarding ICI

Wheat Ridge, CO (April 27, 2010) The undersigned officers of the Executive Committee of the Board of the American Society for Indexing (ASI) have prepared the following brief statement regarding the formation of Institute of Certified Indexers (ICI), a limited liability company.

ICI is an independent and private entity. It is totally separate from and unaffiliated with ASI. The ASI Board as a whole was not, and is not, involved in the formation and/or management of ICI. The current President and Immediate Past President of ASI are principals of ICI and have made the appropriate disclosures in accordance with ASI's Conflict of Interest policy.
