Barry Campbell has indexed a wide range of topics from humanities to quantum physics, mainly using Cindex. He also does index conversions and supports indexers when Word embedding has gone badly wrong. His first Word embedded index was for a user guide for avionics equipment. The guide went through several versions, was well received by the user, and the index was invaluable in the development of training course material.

Frances Lennie began her indexing career in the United Kingdom before moving to the United States in 1982. At that time she began developing CINDEX™ indexing software—available for both Mac and Windows—and derives great pleasure helping users make the most of all it has to offer.

Dr. Katharina Munk, a trained biologist, has worked since 1992 as a lecturer, author, editor, and indexer on large projects in biology and medicine. She initiated and has been closely involved in the development of Index Manager (Idx) since its inception. The first version of Index Manager was presented at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2012. Index Manager is now available from Klarso GmbH and is open to your suggestions and requests for additional features.

Kamm Y. Schreiner is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and is the owner of SKY Software. He is also the programmer for SKY Index Professional and NoteFiler. He has been writing indexing software since 1986 and is familiar with the needs of both professional and genealogical indexers. His main hobby is amateur song writing and producing.

Do Mi Stauber is the author of Facing the Text: Content and Structure in Book Indexing, a Wilson Award winner, and a popular presenter on indexing. She has been using Macrex for thirty years. Do Mi assisted Gale Rhoades with technical support and documentation and is the creator of the Mastering Macrex introductory videos on Youtube. She continues to enjoy discovering new ways to use this powerful program.

In 1988, Maria Sullivan began her indexing career in the in-house indexing department at a large legal publishing house. One of her first assignments was to review indexing software trial packages. That was Maria’s introduction to CINDEX™ and she’s never looked back. She quickly became in-house “key user” and since becoming an independent indexer in the 1990s, has been providing support through Indexing Research whenever indexers need help. Maria and her husband Ed are recent transplants to Western Massachusetts; and while not indexing and gardening, Maria keeps very busy retrieving, converting, and parsing existing indexes and data for use in index and other applications. www.sullivanindex.com

Pilar Wyman has been writing indexes as a successful freelancer for over 30 years. She works in English, Spanish, and French in health, medicine, technology, and other areas of interest. She gives presentations and training sessions as time allows. In addition to working as Chief Indexer & Consultant of Wyman Indexing, she also now works for Index-Manager as Regional Sales Manager, USA/Canada.
