I create thoughtful, accurate, on-time, and to-specification indexes for trade books, scholarly books, public policy books, and textbooks.

Being a geographer by training and experience, I am, by definition, a generalist, since geography is relevant to a wide spectrum of human activity and thought. Through my education (B.A. Geography, Dartmouth College; M.A. Liberal Studies, Duke University), career, and personal interests, I bring to bear a wide store of knowledge and experience to support good indexing decisions. I am especially interested in books on natural sciences, history, biography, public policy, and technology.

My goals are the same as the author’s goals and publisher’s goals — to create the most usable and accurate index for each project.
